We needed to go out and put Isla's new waterproof over trousers to the test, so we took her to her happy place, the beach. She loved exploring out on the sand banks, picking up sea weed saying look Mummy it's hair! She also looks in the pools of water searching for Ariel, its so sweet. It was lovely sitting back and watching her play and the amazement in her eyes when she would find a oyster, or funny shaped stone. There is just something so special watching your children play and enjoy the same place you did as a child. I spent all my time on this beach growing up, and now I get to share it with my children - its just the best thing in the world and I hope Isla and Archie will do the same with their children!

^ I love this photo, I need to frame it for my kitchen!

Do you share any childhood places with your children?

  1. These are absolutely stunning Tara, and yes definitely frame some of them! I love that you share the beach with her, that's so lovely. I love taking Indiana to the parks I used to go to as a child. There's still equipment there that I used to go on, so I love recreating the pictures xx

  2. Lovely photos. We live close to where I grew up so we often do the same walks that I used to do when I was a kid. Sarah #mywildones

  4. I love those beach huts! Isla looks like she's having a great time exploring. I grew up by the sea but I'm not a big fan of the beach really. We should try and take Toby more though, I bet he'd love it. #MyWildOnes
