Beef Tacos | Tefal Cook4me Connect

This is the first meal we cooked in our Tefal Cook4me and I have to say it got a huge thumbs up! It was so easy to use and even I could follow the instructions! So the first thing I did was look up the recipe on the app on my iPhone and went shopping to get all the ingredients - or should I say sent the partner to the shop to get the ingredients while I sat at home staring excitedly at the machine!

I got out the ingredients for the recipe so it was all to hand and easy to grab, for this ingredient for 4 people you will need:

- 0.5 tsp of vegetable oil
- 500g of lean beef mince
- 150g of finely chopped onion
- 30g of taco packet seasoning mix
- 400g of canned chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp of tomato puree
- 100ml of water
- Grated cheese
- Salt and pepper
- Taco shells (we used soft tortilla boats instead)
- Lettuce

The first step the machine tells you to do is prepare all the ingredients, you could measure them out all in separate bowls but I just did it as it went along.

The first thing you do is add your oil into the machine - for the first use the machine can also release a smell but the manual explains that this is entirely normal, and if I'm honest all I could smell the whole time was yummy taco mince.

The machine then preheats the oil, while it was doing this I prepared my onions and got all my other ingredients ready to go. It took around 4-5 minutes to heat up and you could see how hot it was getting by the bar on the screen lighting up as it went along.

The next step was to add the mince meat and onion into the machine and it began to 'brown', this process didn't take long at all and before I knew it the mince was all nice and browned off.

We then added the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, seasoning mix and water to the machine, by this point it was smelling so good.

We then had to shut the lid and lock it into place so the cooking could begin. It was only a 10 minute cook time and it was so handy having a countdown on the screen too. The machine also released steam from the back so we ended up turning the machine sideways to allow the steam to go up instead of up onto our above cupboards.

Once it was ready I put it into a serving dish and placed it onto the table with all the other items to make yummy beef tacos, or in our case tortilla boats! We just find them so much easier to eat out of instead of the taco shells that break as soon as you take a bite of them!

Here is my end product, Im not really that good at presenting food and making it look good but I can tell you it was so yummy and so tasty to eat, the room was silent while we was all eating. We will definitely be making them again in our Tefal Cook4me connect!
