Stocking Fillers | 8 Month Old Boy

This is the last of my stocking filler posts, its crazy that I now have to organise 3 children's stockings! So our baby boy is only 8 months old, which was quite difficult when it come to finding small items to go in his stocking. He has 4 things and his siblings have 8, but I honestly don't think they will notice and he is only a baby so he won't know either. I actually haven't even got him a stocking yet... oops I best get one soon!

Stocking Fillers | 3 Year Old Boy

Following on from my last stocking filler post, I am now going to show what we have got our wild boy for his stocking this year. He is 3 3/4 so closer to 4 now, and I have to admit it was a bit of a struggle this year for him, so he hasn't got as much as a variety as his sister but regardless he will still love everything he is getting. I found him easier on the present side of things this year. He still has the same amount of things as his sister, but it just seems like he has less for some reason.

Stocking Fillers | 6 Year Old Girl

I thought I would share what our big girl will be getting in her stocking this year, I feel like she's at such a good age now and she's a lot easier to buy for. She loves all little bits and pieces, especially her art bits like pens, pencils etc. I managed to get her a good variety of bits this year and didnt need to spend much at all either which is always a bonus! I hope this can help you if you're stuck for ideas or if you're like me and just love looking at what other people are getting their children for Christmas! Most of her bits are from Primark or Poundland.

Get To Know The Family Behind The Blog!

So I thought I would do a questionnaire so you can all get to know me and our family better, I feel like since I started this blog I have changed in so many changes and so has our family.. I started this when we was just a 3 and now here we are as a family of 5!

We have been together since August 2010 and married since February 2017.

Me & Mine | October 2018

October seemed to fly by in a flash? It started off with some beautiful days, where you could go on walks in just a t-shirt and still be hot. The leaves on the trees turned a beautiful orange and red colour and conker wars were happening at Isla's school. As soon as half term hit the weather changed, in the past week the weather seems to have taken a huge drop in temperature. Its back to spending 10 minutes before you even get out the door to put your coat, hat, scarf and gloves on. Id say that's the thing I really don't like about this weather. We are all feeling a bit glum at the moment, but trying to look forward to the upcoming exciting things like Halloween, Bonfire Night, a certain little girl turning 6 followed very shortly after by Christmas. Its this part of the year that seems to go the quickest, October to January.

Life lately has been busy in our household, well I say lately its pretty much 24/7, who am I kidding. I'm finding it hard to get the balance right between everything and everyday feels like I'm just trying to keep my head above water. I'm hoping over the next few weeks I can focus more on my blog and getting back into it again. Daddy has been adjusting to his new job and its nice as some days he can work from home, its so nice to have an actual grown up to talk to during in the day.

Our big girl is finding the adjustment into year 1 a bit tough, going from mostly play and only having to read 5 times a week into work only and 3 bits of homework and spellings a week plus her reads. Ive never known her to behave so badly at home, but in all honesty I think she is just finding the new year a bit of a shock and overwhelming. Our Wild boy, well he's just crazy as ever at the moment, he is loving pre-school and we have noticed a slight improvement in his behaviour. Finally our baby boy, he's growing so much, October saw him turn 6 months old, and we could start to wean him which has been fun, he's so different from his older siblings and we are enjoying getting to know him and his ways. He has just started moving around and rolling on the carpet and it won't be long before he is crawling!

Hopefully things can settle down a little soon, but until then we are just going to enjoy everyday and keep going. November is already looking to be a better month and we cant wait.

Letting Him Go Underwater!

So our little boy has now been doing his swimming lessons for 7 weeks, he is a pro at going under the water, he doesn't cry at all anymore and it shows that he is learning his cue for going under the water. He absolutely loves his swimming lessons and its also a special time for him and Daddy to get some bonding time, and some physical activity too. Over the weeks we have learnt a lot of the actions and songs to go with them, we was going to alternate lessons but its been easier for Daddy to just do them as he knows what to do, I am hoping to get in their with Jax soon. It hasn't been all song and games though, over the weeks we have also learnt some vital safety skills.

Its Time For A Change..

So a couple weeks back now I was sitting on the sofa when my 3 year old came over and sat down next to me, after sitting in awkward silence for a minute he comes out with "Mummy, when is the new baby coming out of your belly?" at first I just laughed it off as I have only just given birth 6 months ago, but later that night I was sitting on the bed and thanks to our mirror sliding wardrobe doors I cant really hide from my reflection... it hit me.

For the last few months I have been feeling really down, mostly from general life things but my feelings towards my body has got a lot worse, hardly any of my clothes fit and if they do they just feel tight on me and I just get angry and take them off. If I have my photo taken I cringe and can really see how I look to others, and its not nice. I am so proud of my body and the 3 amazing children its given me, its also suffered miscarriages, a crap ton of stress and upset over the last few years too, so I totally don't blame myself at all. But I just don't feel happy any more, I don't feel good about myself and its time for a change. I don't have a goal weight in mind, it will just be whenever I look in the mirror and feel happy with what I see.

I am almost at 1 week into my new lifestyle, I'm not doing any crazy diets, just simply swapping certain foods for healthier ones, drinking more water (seriously my Relentless addiction was ridiculous) eating more fruit and veg, along with doing a few 7 minute HIIT workouts a week, generally I do a lot of walking every week as I don't drive so that helps too. My Fitbit also gives me huge motivation as well, so if you have one and would like to be friends on there then give me a message!

I cant wait to weigh in on Monday and measure myself again to see what I've lost, so see you then!

The Start Of Our Swimming Journey!

Its been a busy weekend for our baby boy, he started his swimming journey on Saturday. If you don't know already we are part of this years Baby Swimologists for Konfidence and so we will be documenting this journey with you and I am so excited to share with you the first lesson we had. We let Daddy take him in for the first time as with our 1st child I did all of the swimming lessons with her when she was a baby and as we now have weekend lessons (how great that Water Babies offer weekend times) Daddy gets to experience it too which is nice. The lessons are in the hydrotherapy pool which means its like a warm bath, which is perfect for babies... and us parents too! We used a disposable nappy with the Konfidence NeoNappy on top which is the policy for Water Babies to double up in the nappy area and off he went into the water.

Driving To Disneyland Paris!

We recently visited Disneyland Paris and had such a great time, this is the first time we have ever driven to Disney and I thought I'd share our thoughts and experience about it so if you are considering it this may be useful for you. The reason we decided to drive this time was because of how much stuff we had to take - travelling with 3 young children, one being just 3 months old at the time required a lot of stuff! We also was doing the whole trip on a budget and this was the cheapest way to travel, it also meant we had the freedom to stop when we wanted, just so much easier with younger children.

So how long did it take us...
It took us 2 hours to drive to the Euro Tunnel, 35 minutes on the train and then its about 3 hours from the train to Disneyland. With check in/passport control and a couple short stops it took us about 6 hours. Which does sound a lot but last time with the Euro Star we had to drive to the train, park, check in, board, hand our luggage in at the train station etc and that all added together can take the same amount of time or more! We got to Disneyland at 1pm and on the way home we left the park at 4:30pm and was home for 11pm that night.

Siblings | August 2018

Ah my little trio, how you have all changed these last few weeks, the holidays have definitely been a part in how close you have all become, although I was looking forward to the holidays part of me in the back of my mind was wondering how we would all get on being around one another 24/7 but its not been too terrible. They have played so well and we have had so many adventures, its been amazing. Our baby boy is getting so alert now and is laughing at his big sister and brother, they absolutely love it, I cant wait to see how they dynamic between them changes as he gets older and can join in with them.

Jax 3 Month Update

So this has turned more into a 3 3/4 month update, my Mac has been broken but its now fixed yippee! I can finally catch up and share how our little baby Bear is doing at 3 months old. I got him weighed at 14 weeks and he weighed 14lb exactly, he seems to be having a few struggles which I will go into in a bit, so as a result his weight gain seems to be slowing up a bit but he is still gaining so that's the main thing and I'm not concerned at all. He is wearing size 4 nappies, 3-6 month sleep suits and clothes and is drinking 5oz of milk every 3 hours, a big change is he is now sleeping threw the night, he goes down at 9pm and will sleep until 7am. He has around 4-5 bottles a day.

He is smiling, cooing, and starting to respond to us playing with him and making silly high pitch noises, he absolutely LOVES his big brother and sister as well. His hair is going really light, so far he has not lost any and doesn't seem to be getting the baby bald patch at the back either. His eyes are light blue, which is no surprise as we all have light blue eyes in this house! I am loving his chubby cheeks and the arm/leg rolls that he is now getting, they just make my heart melt. He is loving bath time, he loves to be upright now and refuses to be laid down. We have moved him from his carry cot on the pram to the main seat now (his seat was suitable from birth anyway) and he is loving it, I have him slightly raised up and he's so nosey he will happily sit watching everyone and everything. For the most part he is a happy baby boy.

Me & Mine | July 2018

Oh I had such a better vision for these photos... as some of you know if you've been following me for a while, we have a very large family photo canvas in our living area from our holiday to Egypt in 2015. Well now our family is complete and Jax is here I thought its about time we get a new photo to have up on the wall. Well on this evening I was so hoping to capture it, but it all went wrong on the way when Isla tripped Archie up whilst they was running down to the beach.. and well as you can see from the photo he is sporting a rather large graze on his arm! To be fair he was so good about it and hardly cried but after he saw the blood he was not in no mood for photos!

Our Disneyland Plans!

So in just 3 sleeps time we will be heading off *extremely early* to Disneyland Paris! We still haven't told the little's that we are going, I think we are going to tell them on the Sunday evening so they know why we are getting them up early, and hope that it goes in our favour and they co operate with us to function so early. We are going to Disney for 4 nights / 5 days and I so can not wait! We booked this back in January when they had the 2 nights free and 15% off offer which definitely helped as we are going in the start of the 6 weeks holidays... please hope we cope ok! We are also in the middle of some freak heatwave at the moment so yeah kind of dreading that a bit, but otherwise I am SO excited and cant wait to get there.

We are staying in the Santa Fe (Cars Hotel) as this one actually worked out the cheapest, we was hoping to stay at the Davy Crockett Ranch but it was more expensive and they are also refurbishing the pool so we wouldn't of even been able to use that either, but we will definitely be booking there for next time though! We are driving to Disneyland, which some people were a bit shocked about as we will have all 3 children with us, but in our eyes its definitely the easiest and more flexible way for us. We have so much to take and having traveled via Eurostar before we just didn't feel it was the best way to travel this time round. We have a 2 hour drive to the Eurotunnel, then the train takes 35 minutes and then once we get off at Calais we have a 3 hour drive to Disneyland, so its not too terrible and we can unbuckle the kids on the train and let them stretch for a bit too.

Siblings | July 2018

In my head this months Siblings photos was going to look so much different, but I guess that's the reality of having 3 young children! If you look closely you will see a horrible cut on Arch's arm that happened on the way to take these photos and he was not happy... I don't blame him it looked so sore! I think he is the hardest to capture at the moment, he's such a strong willed wild boy and its his way or no way, so this is the best I could do. My big girl on the other hand is such a mini mother to her littlest brother, she would happily sit and hold him all day whilst smiling for the camera, and I guess Jax well he doesn't really have a choice at the moment does he!

A 1st Swim | Alton Towers Waterpark

So a couple of weeks back our baby boy went for his 1st swim at Alton Towers Splash Landings! We was fully prepared with our Konfidence products to test out as we are lucky enough to be one of their baby swimologists this year. It was SO warm in the pool area which was perfect for our baby boys first swim, he pulled a face when he first got put in but he soon relaxed and was totally just chilling in the pool with Daddy and his big brother! Alton Towers Splash Landings are currently offering a parent and toddler mid week swim (under 3s) during term time only for just £7! - usually £16.50. You can also get a loyalty card if your local and save up 8 stamps for a free swim for you and your child.

Living Arrows | 23/53

"You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

We had a proper lazy afternoon at home, the weather was amazing so we put the pool up for the littles so they could have some fun and cool off at the same time. They absolutely love going down the slide into the pool, its not long before they are going down head first or trying to surf down the slide whilst I'm covering my eyes with my hands - they love to give me mini heart attacks I'm sure!

Me & Mine | May 2018

May has been a very upbeat and bright month for us with the help from the weather, it certainly makes all the difference doesn't it? We have been able to get out and about a lot more which means lots of adventures and time at the beach. Its also been a bit of a stressful month as we got some rubbish news and also Jax has been a bit poorly. I have failed miserably for this month with our photo, I had planned to take one but you know when nothing goes in your favour... so we ended up with a party taken for us at a party we was at. Not great but still its us, our family, and you can see how much the baby has grown too! I cant believe he has been with us almost 2 months now, its just crazy and also how quick is this year going!?

Living Arrows | 22/53

"you are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

This weeks photos come from our happy place, the beach. We are so so lucky to live near a number of beaches and so on nice evenings after school we can go and pretty much have the whole beach to ourselves! Its so lovely to share these moments with my children, as I grew up on this beach and spent many summers making hundreds of sand castles here, and now I get to do it all over again.

My big girl loves the beach, she definitely takes after me. She loves nothing more than making sand castles, finding shells and burying her feet in the sand. Our latest favourite thing to do is make fairy gardens in the sand, using shells and other pretty things that we can find. I also picked up a new bucket set for them, you can basically make sand ice creams which is so cool (well actually I bought it more for myself haha!)

My wild boy is happy as long as he is outside, deep down he's a water baby and you can see it in his eyes how much he wants to get in the sea, but the beach can keep him quite happy for a while. He has been loving the new ice cream set and also some dumper trucks I got him for the beach.

Living Arrows | 21/53

"you are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

This weeks photos were taken from our trip to BeWILDerwood on Saturday, we had the best day out and the weather was absolutely perfect for it, the kids absolutely loved it and I think these photos were my favourites from the day as they are not posed, just the children taking in all the magic and excitement from the day.

My big girl absolutely loved the boat ride, as we was going along we was told a story and as you can see she was totally mesmerised by the whole thing.

My wild boy was in his element, he is at his best when outdoors and being able to run free. He loved climbing around and being up high in the trees, here he is as he spotted one of the Twiggles houses up in the trees.

Siblings | May 2018

A whole month of having 3 children seems to have gone by in a flash, our little trio seem to have settled down now and are settling into their new roles, Arch has adjusted to being a big brother so well and Isla is just over the moon with her baby brother and will not put him down. Now that Jax is starting to be awake for longer and is making all the new little sounds he all of a sudden seems a lot more interesting to the children, you should of seen their excitement and amazement when he moved his arm and knocked a toy on his play mat, the older 2 thought it was the best and was adamant he was playing with his new toys! It brings such joy to me watching the 3 of them together and seeing how in love they all seem to be, as even Jax seems to love having his big sister and brother around, he looks up at them or will move his head to find them if he can hear them, Im pretty sure he already cant wait to play and join in.

Jax | 1 Month Update

Our little baby J is now 1 whole month old, its so strange though as he was born only just on the 10th April so at only 4 minutes old he was already classed as 1 day old.. so in true form I'm sat here at 11:24pm typing this up as very soon he will properly be 1 month old! Jokes.. this is the only time I get these days haha. So I have a lot to update on, a lot has been going on with this little bundle of ours, I will start with weight as he was only just weighed yesterday and he was 8lb 15oz! He was born at 6lb 5oz so he's doing really well with putting on weight, to be exact the last 2 weeks he has put on 1lb a week, which isn't surprising as he is drinking guzzling down 5oz bottles every 2-3 hours! He is completely out of tiny baby clothing, and now up to 1 month is tight on him so I've just taken them out of his drawers even though he could still get 1 more wear out of them still, he is wearing newborn size from John Lewis as they seem a bit more roomy than the others? Its funny how different brands come up different in size, so for now he's in newborn sleep suits and 0-3 month vests. He is now in size 1 nappies, wasn't it just yesterday he was in micro nappies.. oh wait it was *sob*

Me & Mine | April 2018

Oh April... what a month you was! We welcomed the last addition to our family, our little Jax. He arrived 2 weeks early and well we are so happy that he is finally here safe and sound, after a somewhat scary last few moments of birth as soon as he was born he let the whole world know he had arrived... what a reassuring sound! We've been adjusting to life as a family of five over the last few weeks, I won't lie its been a bit hectic and I've not known if I'm coming or going but I feel we are finally getting into the groove of things, you also forget a bit of how time consuming looking after a newborn can be!

The big 2 have been pretty amazing at adjusting though, and they are so in love with their baby Brother. We only managed one photo of the five of us, we really need to try get a nice canvas worthy one soon though! But for now.. here is us, our family of five, complete.

The Me + Mine Project - Dear Beautiful

We Are Konfidence Baby Swimologists 2018 + Win A £50 Konfidence Voucher!

So you could say that we are a big water family, we are lucky enough to live near some beautiful beaches which means we also have a boat and jet bike. We spend 90% of our summer on the beach or out on the water and so swimming to us is such a important skill for our children to learn as well as the safety side of it. Our eldest started swimming lessons when she was just a few months old, she loved it and I believe its given her such a positive attitude towards swimming and being in the water, our second baby was born in a birthing pool so he was a water baby from birth you could say, and he absolutely loves the water.. so much so he has no fear whatsoever! When we was recently asked to become a swimologist for Konfidence for the latest addition to our family, how could we say no! We are so excited to be involved as part of the baby swimologists for 2018, and what a year to be involved as this summer they also celebrate 20 years of their award winning product the Konfidence swim jacket.

Konfidence is the UK and Europe's leading designer and manufacturer of baby and children safety and swimwear, they now provide partners and customers in over 40 countries worldwide. They provide a range of swim wear, wet suits, swimming nappies, buoyancy aids for babies, children and even adults, they offer everything you need for a safe, comfortable and enjoyable swimming experience. We have used some of their products in the past and cant rate them enough, I know I'm not alone when I say that I would highly recommend Konfidence products.

Siblings | April 2018

I have been waiting so long for this moment, my first sibling post with my 3 beautiful children all together! Our latest and final addition arrived in the world on the 10th April, at 11:56pm and he was not hanging around either! I think he was way to excited to come out and join the chaos of our crazy household, and meet his older Brother and Sister. I keep sitting here thinking about the moment we surprised them with their new baby Brother, we asked them to shut their eyes and then Daddy brought him in and when they opened their eyes they was so excited and happy, Isla literally did not stop smiling... in fact Ive never seen her smile so much in all her life, she was beaming from ear to ear and immediately fell in love, she of course went straight into her mothering mode and wanted to hold him and look after him. Arch on the other hand was a lot more chilled, he wanted to hold him and see him but it was short lived, he was back to playing with his trains within 10 minutes. Both of them have adjusted really well to having a baby in the house, don't get me wrong they've definitely been trying to push the boundaries and have been testing us, but towards the baby they are so in love with him.

Jax | 1 Week Update

This first week has flown by, between family wanting to come and meet Jax and all the appointments to go to and midwives coming to the house we haven't stopped! Jax was weighed at day 5 and had only a 5% drop in weight which was absolutely perfect, they allow up to 10%. He had only lost 4oz so was weighing in at 6lb 1oz, we had a an issue with feeding a couple days ago as my milk didn't seem to be coming in and it also wasn't coming out when breastfeeding or pumping, it meant our little man got terribly hungry and was beginning to shake/vibrate due to his blood sugar levels dropping, so the poor Husband had a 1am dash to Tesco for formula as there was nothing I could do anymore and my body was failing, queue the almighty emotional breakdown from me, but I believe fed is best, fast forward 2 days and I have been able to pump milk for Jax to have 2 breast milk feeds a day and the rest is formula. Otherwise Jax has been doing great, he's slotted in to our family so well and so far doesn't seem to mind the chaos and noise of his older siblings, his cord is still on, he also has a bit of jaundice but nothing to major, we have been trying to get him out in the natural light when we can and so far it seems to be doing the trick. He is drinking 2-3 oz of milk every 2 hours, although he does have longer stretches at night time so only gets us up 1 - 2 times which I think is brilliant considering he's only a week old.

I am over the moon to announce the safe arrival of our baby boy, after a very anxious last few days of pregnancy and almost losing him during delivery, we are both safe and well. I took some time out to recover and enjoy the newborn bubble, but I am so excited to finally share him on here and catch up with the posts I need to do! So without further a do, introducing....

My Baby Shower!

On Sunday 25th March my best friend had organised a baby shower for me! It was such a lovely surprise as I had no idea where I was going or what I would be doing. Ive never had a baby shower before but decided I really wanted one this time as its our last baby and I definitely wanted the experience of having one, and also just a few hours of adult conversation away from the kids too! My Mum picked me up and we drove to Maison Talbooth, we had the Garden Room to ourselves and some of my family & friends were all sat around a table waiting for me as we was all going to have a afternoon tea.... yummy!

Living Arrows | 11/53

"You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

This weeks photo of Arch is one of my favourites, on Sunday he experienced probably the best day of his life, he is train mad.. like plays all day long with his wooden train track and takes his trains everywhere with him. I have taken him on a train a few weeks ago but it was literally a 3 minute ride and he thought it was the best thing ever, so when we was invited to London for the day I couldn't wait to experience the train rides with him, especially the underground which he just thought was the best thing in the world. He watched out the window for pretty much the whole way and was so excited at every little thing the train did that passers by even smiled and laughed at him.

Our 1st Wedding Anniversary

On Sunday 25th February we celebrated our 1 year Wedding Anniversary! How quick did that year go!? You can read all about our big day here for a catch up, I have to say its one of my favourite posts I've done. We didn't go to crazy as I am pregnant, so our original plans of always wanting to go snow skiing were definitely not suitable anymore! Instead we booked to stay at a hotel for the night, we have been to this one before having kids so it was lovely to come back again for our Anniversary, we stayed at Dunston Hall in Norwich which isn't too far from us, its a beautiful place and it also has a swimming pool so I definitely made use of this to ease my pregnancy aches and pains.

33 Weeks Pregnant | Baby #3

33 Weeks + 5 days

Monday 23rd April 2018

Baby is measuring between 17-19 inches long, and could weigh between 4-6 lbs! He will still be putting on around half a pound a week until he is born. Baby's bones are hardening ready for when is born, he also is keeping his eyes open while he is awake inside the uterus and can respond to light shining through.

I've decided not to get on the scales again until nearer delivery.

Living Arrows | 10/53 {2018}

"You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth"

I think the past week for pretty much everyone has all been about the snow, we definitely was hit with some pretty bad snow, Wednesday we woke up to a garden full of it and a text from the school stating it was closed! So of course we had a snow day, well I say day.. we probably spent 3 hours out in it! I love the photos I managed to capture of my two playing out in it, I couldn't keep my camera out for long as it was starting to get wet from the snow blizzard but I'm so glad I caught these.

Me & Mine | February 2018

Ah February what a month you have been, we've had some major lows to start with but have ended on some massive highs. February was a difficult month for me as we had my Brother's funeral, a day that will stay with me forever, a day that still hurts to think about now. But we have ended the month with my Birthday, our 1st Wedding Anniversary and with loads of white stuff which of course had to be in our family photos to mark this month! We had the best time all playing out in the snow, the kids loved it and its seriously making me consider booking a skiing holiday next year! I am desperate to go skiing again some day and take my little tribe with me so they can experience it too. Hidden under many layers is a 32 week bump in this photo! We are looking forward to getting bits ready for our new arrival next month, the weeks seem to be flying by now.

Joie Litetrax 4 Pushchair

Around a year ago I was on the hunt for a new pushchair for Archie, we was using a Maclaren Techno XT which was also Isla's, although we loved it he was just to tall for a umbrella type pram, his feet would drag on the floor and being under 2 I knew I would still need a pushchair for him for a little while, but we also didnt want to spend loads. On one of many online hunts on all shops possible I came across the Joie Litetrax 4, I was immediately drawn to it and read some more information on it. So we ended up getting it from Argos in the colour Chromium.

It was EXACTLY what I was looking for...
  • The seat was higher up from the ground so no feet can drag on the floor, and he can now reach to push the traffic light crossing buttons! (his favourite thing to do!)
  • A bar style handle so it can be pushed easily 1 handed while also holding my daughters hand.
  • A parent tray with 2 cup holders and a compartment for my phone and keys.
  • A huge basket, which is perfect when you have 2 children and don't drive.
  • Folds super easy with 1 hand, folds down very slim line also.
  • A removable bumper bar.
  • Extendable hood to keep the sun out of your child's face.
  • Adjustable calf support.
  • 4 recline positions, one of which is flat.
  • Single step brake system.
  • Automatic fold lock.
  • Can get a foot muff to match it, and also can be used with a carry cot or car seat!
  • Lastly it didn't break the bank either at £149.99.

Definitely a Boy!

Baby is growing closer to 17 inches, the size of a cantaloupe and probably weighs around 3.5lbs. By this stage most babies will be starting to turn to the position ready for birth - head down. The lanugo that has been keeping baby warm will be starting to fall off this week as baby starts putting on enough fat to keep themselves warm. The eyes are in place but are still developing, at around week 34 the vision will probably be as strong as it will be at birth.

I seem to have gained a few pounds all of a sudden, which is to be expected as baby is just filling out now, so I don't think I am going to get back on the scales until nearer my due date now.

Acid reflux has been pretty awful this week, I get it most nights as soon as I lay down to go to sleep. My SPD has been bad which surprised me as Isla has been off school this past week so Ive not had to do the school runs, I also now have sciatica on my right side! I'm shocked I've only just got it so far in this pregnancy but my is it very painful. I also have some new stretch marks on my lower sides (hips).

Using The Namey App To Help Name Our Baby*

I'm going to be honest, trying to think of a name this time round has been the hardest yet, typical as we had a girls name picked out from the start of this pregnancy! But this time we have really struggled with finding the right name, its taken us a long time (well for us anyway) but we finally have a name for this baby boy! Thanks to the Namey app we have been able to research so many names, find out the meanings - which this time round has been a small factor of choosing a name with this being a Rainbow baby and also after the loss of my brother very recently, so I was quite keen to see what the meaning behind the names that we liked were. It was also pretty fun being able to look up what all of our names meant and where they originated from too. You can also explore the top 10 trending boys and girls names as this can also be a factor when choosing a name as well, nobody wants to have more of the same name in their Childs classes at school! I feel so confident that this is the name for our baby boy now and I cant wait to meet him, its been so nice being able to call him a name like he's a real person now, also the children are getting to bond with him and associate the name with my bump which is nice. I honestly thought at one point we wouldn't have a name for bump and he would be born with no name, which is totally fine of course but we have always been prepared with a couple name options before our previous 2 were born. Have you always been prepared with a name or waited until baby was born?

The Namey app is available to download via the Google Play Store for Android and the Apple App Store for IOS for free, or a premium version is also available to download at 0.99p and this is the version I have been using. Namey is the only baby naming app available that uses artificial intelligence and algorithmic matching to suggest names that are highly relevant to the user, making it a unique experience for everyone! Simply enter your family names - which was great as it would suggest names that will go with your older children names, your desired origin, first letter of the name (if you had a preference) and the app will return to you its suggestions based on what you selected. This was really fun to do as at one point we wanted both boys to have a name starting with 'A' so it was interesting to see what the app suggested for us.

28 Weeks Pregnant | Baby #3

28 weeks + 6 Days

Monday 23rd April 2018

Baby is almost 16 inches tall and weighs around 2.5lb. Babies wrinkles are starting to disappear as he packs on the healthy fat he needs. Baby is starting to have a sleep cycle and can even have dreams, he also is coughing and practising breathing ready for life on the outside.

So my Midwife came over on Thursday, my blood pressure was fine, urine was fine, babies heartbeat was all good. She measured my bump for the first time and it was measuring at 25 weeks, at the moment we aren't too concerned but will see what happens at my next appointment in 3 weeks time and how its measuring then. I said I had noticed babies movements had been a bit quiet and not the same the last 3 days so she got another midwife to come over with the monitor and she monitored me at home, after 22 minutes on the machine it was happy with its readings. She took some blood work and scheduled to come and see me again tomorrow to give me my anti - D injection. I also need to ring the doctors to get my whooping cough injection booked in.
